The End
Even with the grandest intentions sometimes things don't work out the way you want them to. When we returned from Europe it obvious there was divide between the ambition, direction and expectations of the band moving forward. This lead to an irreconcilable argument between the bands' founding members. Without any resolve in sight the right thing to do was to end Test of Time. Some of us will remain friends and others will not. This was not an amiable end to the band but an end none the less.
We are very proud of the 3 EPs, LP, numerous free singles and compilation songs we've produced in a very short time. Even though the band is not continuing on as intended, nothing should take away from the music we created during our time together. This blog and our bandcamp will be maintained as a record of Test of Time 2012-2014, hopefully adding a few more things such as a discography. If you have pictures of the band please send them to xtestoftime@gmail.com so we can put them up here.
Thanks to everyone who has supported this band over the past two years, it has truly meant the world to us! We will never forget some of the great experiences we've had and true friends we've made along the way. Everyone who was part of this band already had another band or has a new band in the works so we'll all be around just in another form.

Thank You Europe!
We're back from Europe, and a large thank you is in order. This was our first time to Europe as a band, and we were graciously invited into a lot of different scenes with open arms. We got to play in the Czech Republic, Serbia, Belgium, Hungary, Austria and Germany, and each day we were greeted with smiles and warmth. We're just a hardcore band, writing these songs in our basements and bedrooms, and to have people screaming the words back at us while we play half way across the world is something I will never forget. From the moment we were hooked up with Felix and Katrin at Flix Booking, I knew this would be something special. Everyone that booked us, all the bands we played with, and every friend we made on this tour has shaped us as individuals and altered, for the better, the course of this band. We can't wait to come back and spend more time with everyone. Touring is some of the only time I feel like I fit with the world and it is an incredible feeling. Moving from city to city and being introduced to like-minded people is something I can't get over. We grew up speaking different languages, but when the music starts, we all understand what is happening. Test of Time can't say thank you enough to all of you; to Katrin, to Felix, to Eva, Bojan, Iggy, Bobby and everyone else. While your name may not be expressly written here, the same thanks goes to everyone who stood in the room while we played, stage-dove during our set, or just gave us a smile and a nod. We appreciate it; all of it. We were lucky enough to share the stage with bands like Conqueror, Bent Life, Gone to Waste, Light it Up, and so many more. We appreciate your time and your attention. There is a lot more to come from Test of Time and we can't wait to share it with everyone.

Converting an idea into reality
I just wanted to take a minute and explain a little more about the "A Place Beyond" EP we just released.
We had always talked about releasing another EP before releasing the LP but we didn't want it to be just the same old "here are a few songs that are going to be on the LP" We wanted to have completely different songs. Before the songs were finished we took a trip to Mexico/Central America.
That trip really opened eyes to what we thought about a place and what was actual reality. The first song on the EP "Perception" is exactly about this realization. Also its nod to the two bands we toured with, Picking Up The Pieces (http://pickingupthepieces.bandcamp.com) and Una Vez Mas (http://xunavezmasx.bandcamp.com) for showing us that hardcore isn't just a United States thing, that energy and emotion exists worldwide.
But how to go about telling this story is how this EP evolved. We had been taking pictures all throughout the trip and one day it just hit us. Let's use a different picture as part of the packaging for EP. That way people will have an audio and visual experience of exactly what we were feeling. Along with that we wanted to have a way to register who got the photos to see how far around the world our music was actually going.
Originally we just wanted to have a completely clear record with just a photo stuck into the sleeve as the layout. After bringing this idea to Bridge 9 they enhanced the idea by suggesting to screen print the record. Also to have it in different colors as the variant.
There was a plant overrun that actually left us with 50 clear unscreened record which allowed us to do the original idea as a record release version
We are very proud of this EP as it holds a lot of personal significance to us. Just the ability to have this idea and see it all the way through is something that is very dear to us.
If you have great idea don't be afraid of failure. There is always a way to make it happen!
